- Qualified Millwright Trade Certificate through a recognised/accredited institution (Attach proof of qualification)
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in the Mining Industry

GENERAL DUTIES:

- Installing & dismantling machinery and equipment according to company plans
- Troubleshoot and diagnose Mechanical hydraulic problems with equipment
- Scheduled maintenance to be conducted

- Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
- Opencast Blasting Ticket
- Eight (8) Years’ experience in the Opencast mining industry
- Own transport with a valid driver’s license is a requirement

GENERAL DUTIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the mine within your area of
responsibility
- Lead the team in the cost-effective optimization and extraction of the ore
- Ensure compliance in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Compiling monthly progressive plans
- Weekly production schedules of the pit and plant
- Responsible for leadership, communication and management
- Responsible for the pit design and scheduling activities
- Ensure discipline is maintained
- Ensure customer satisfaction

- Surface Blasting Ticket (Opencast Mining)
- 5 Years’ experience in Opencast Mining as Site Manager
- 3 Years’ experience in Opencast Mining as Contracts Manager
- Mining/Civil Engineering Diploma or relevant qualification
- Project Management qualification and/or experience
- Commercial contract management skills
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Certificate of fitness
